Monday 16.4.07
Even though I was pretty sad, it's a blessing to have been able to go to the airport on Sunday, and to have people transport me. And Termite danced around his cage and I managed to actually fall asleep in a lecture - properly unconscious! Filled with pride. I bailed uni after this lecture and found Elly at the bus stop which was great because we talked about Coles and uni and stuff.
And JJ messaged me asking how I was holding up, which was honestly the nicest thing, and kept messaging to ensure I was not in the fetal position. He is a good person!! AND, when I was walking to the bus stop, I dropped Charly's bottle off because they'd left it at ours the previous night, and Rachel gave me a hug and words of comfort and there are some lovely people.

Tuesday 17.4.07
I shirked uni again and slept in, tee hee!
At work Grant let me do stock for so long, it was great. And I saw Rachel and Charly and Rachel wolf whistled and yelled "Donna's sexy!" in the middle of fresh produce, and I didn't hear her and then she said, "DONNA! ... I'm here yelling at you and you don't turn around, I look like a nob"
Was DELIGHTED to accept the fact my favourite people are living their dream!
Walked to work and worked off the weekend, gosh

Wednesday 18.4.07
I took the tute in SCS210 (everyone has to do one at some point) and my questions were just lame, but Owen, the lovely Irish boy, was in my discussion group and he worked that Irish brain of his and formulated intelligent things to say and we had real discussion and my GOODNESS his accent is exquisite, made me very happy
In EDU100, we got to line up in twos outside the classroom and file in, and it was just like school, and I got to read out loud in the class!
The handout "..Jack being followed, or "shadowed", if you will"

Thursday 19.4.07
I walked to Sunland to put all my photos onto cd at Kmart, so I got photos and exercise, and in early morning when the day is arguably at its nicest, whee!
Refunded a cleanser that doesn't work and got a good one, my face thanks me
I also updated my myspace photos, which thrills me
On the bus on the way to uni this old Italian man in front of me turns around and says, "have a free ticket" and it's this sheet of laminated paper, business card size, with "THIS IS A FREE TICKET (it's not good for anything, but it's free!)" on the front, and stickers on the back, oh it was great
My tute got let out early so I went to the library and got some books and sat under the tree and read in the shade and it was lovely, and then a lady from the Brasserie came and sat with me and we chatted about teaching and kids, she was nice
And THEN Ben came and took the place of the lady and it was good to catch up
My favourite was when I was telling him how thrilling it was being courtesy girl at work, and when people come up and ask where jelly is you can be so helpful and say, "well, it's just down aisle one, turn right at the end and it's opposite the meat" and imagine how much better you made their day!! And he said, "you take something so....GAY, and make it sound amazing" and I laughed, and it was a real genuine laugh, very amusing
We had dinner at Rachel and Tony's, my goodness this chicken kiev was AMAZING
Lots of kisses from Charly, which basically means she puts my fingers in her mouth for long periods of time, beautiful
Finished with cadbury triple decker ice cream with hot fudge, could life even be better?

Friday 20.4.07
For some reason Friday is completely stricken from my memory haha
...EXCEPT, when I was at work, someone asked me where jelly was and I laughed.

Saturday 21.4.07
Pancakes! With ice cream and cream and a mocha, with Dad, at Cafe Boulevard (sounds so swish!). Also got given so many easter eggs, and there was this set of six I was admiring (and salivating at) at Rachel and Tony's and secretly wishing they were mine, and he gave me that exact set of eggs!
Seeing Jesse and the gang, staring at his burn in horror, etc. He told a story that was SAD but made me realise just how good a person he is and I'm glad I know such good people
When I was the only one home I jumped on Tristan's computer and listened to 'Fix You' and 'Such Great Heights' and they are lovely songs, made all the lovelier by the fact I was also myspacing, oh hee!
I also walked to Woolies several times and bought veges and banana for Jesse, because they need their vitamins!
Jesse came home and we went to get Chinese. We both knew I had no money so I said I'd eat at home but he BOUGHT ME CHINESE, a variety of delicious treats, we had prawn crackers and spring rolls to share, and then I had fried rice, chicken and vegetables, and sweet and sour chicken which might become my reason for being alive, it was the most fantastic thing I have ever put in my mouth. We sat on the floor and laughed about how full we were, and then we sat outside and talked about the world and so on, and THEN went inside and watched Whisper Of The Heart, and I stayed awake for all of it and it's the most beautiful movie
I somehow got from the couch to the mattress, amazing, and slept in a scarf without suffocating, which is good!

Sunday 22.4.07
After spending such a long time trying to think of something to do, we went to the video store and hired out seven dvds, bought snack food, and fish and chips for lunch, which is funny because it's all we ever do. And he wouldn't let me pay for any of it. We also matched, clothes wise, and it was amusing, and we didn't take a plastic bag for the dvds because we are conscious of the environment!
I found out that I waved to Adam and pulled the blanket over my head WHILE FAST ASLEEP
It was such a nice day.
While I was waiting for Jesse to finish work (I was the only one up till about 11.30) I lazed on the chair and read a good back and dozed and it was entirely satisfying and I was satisfied
Jesse and I watched: The Little Mermaid, The Benchwarmers, Treasure Planet, Peter Pan, and Tuck Everlasting. THEY WERE ALL BRILLIANT. Five glorious movies in one afternoon/night!! The Disney ones were all beautiful, of course, and inspiring, and The Benchwarmers had me in the fetal position on the chair laughing. I heart Howie. Tuck Everlasting, the bit with the dear, the bit on the waterfall, the part where he yells "Winnie Foster, I will love you till the day I die!" the way it just makes you want to LIVE... And Peter Pan had my favourite part from the book which made me happy, the bit with the kiss and the thimble
Tristan made pasta bake for dinner and I snuck veges into it, I love pasta and had nothing but carbs the entire day, except for our movie snacks (caramel popcorn! lolly gobble bliss bombs!)
Tristan and I also planned our musical cooking show, keep one eye open for us
When we went to bed we talked for a few minutes before sweet sleep grabbed us, and this made me feel good inside & believe in the world
J: I don't ever like saying, 'I don't believe', because...just in case
D: I'd rather believe and be wrong
J: Exactly.
We decided we believe in mermaids and fairies.

They were all more events than things (does that make sense?) because it was entirely based on memory. But just wait for the next one :)

That kind of girl that doesn't need to do her hair
She'll act on any dare
She knows that life's not fair
That kind of girl that lets music do the talking
She dances while she's walking next to me
She says she will get buried in the ocean, come whatever
And I say that shall do just fine, 'cause I love the water
And then we'll chase the sundown till it's dark out and find our own hideaway, hideaway day.
